Nine West
Desoto are cute little slides which are joyful and playful
with just about any outfit you want to match them up with.
They slides are lightweight and have a high heel. Despite of
the high heel these slides are comfortable to wear and give
the elegant looks like never before. The upper is available in
leather, man-made material and satin. Whichever upper you
choose it will be durable and soft and folds as per the shape
of your foot. The vamp is pleated which enhances the beauty of
these slides. The insole is lightly cushioned for day long
comfort with each step. The outsole is man-made which is long
lasting and durable. This outsole also provides traction for
stable and comfortable ride. The stiletto heel is 4 inches
high with 1 inch high platform. The height of the platform
makes the height of the heel feel less. The heel is wrapped
with the same material as the upper. It weighs just 5 ounces
as per size 7 which is very lightweight as compare to most of
the slides. Colors: Medium Grey Satin, Dark Red Satin and
Brown Fabric. |

Cute and Comfortable! These are awesome! As a funeral
director, it is hard to find a cute shoe to wear with skirt
suits. These look great and I can wear them for my long 12
hour days without discomfort.
Not so cute and not as comfy
as other Wests. I'm a big Ninewest fan, but was a bit
disappointed in this one. Matronly comes to mind, and it just
wasn't as comfy as my other Nine. Just about a perfect
shoe - Very cute, very stable, very comfortable. I wish I
could have kept it. I had to choose between Desoto and Nelly
and chose Nelly for two reasons. 1) Tara is a little more
formal than I needed--definitely and office-and-up level of
dressiness; 2) Tara was a little too narrow for me. My toes
were hurting a little after a few minutes--I have a wide foot,
but This slide often work for me anyway--these are not as wide
as some Wests. Also, the high heel inevitably forces your toes
forward, which is a little uncomfortable (though I can hardly
imagine a more comfy high heel). In design, a perfect balance
between comfort and elegance.
Dissenting opinion - I guess
I'll present the dissenting opinion on these shoes. I found
them very uncomfortable. I ordered 36.5, but even though my
usual Dansko size is 37 (since they don't normally do half
sizes) these felt maybe a little too long. They also rubbed my
bunions badly, and in the short, carpeted walk to the full
length mirror to check them out, hurt the balls of my feet.
They seem very hard underfoot. There was not much very
positive about them, except that they do look quite nice.
